Meet Habitat Homeowners

Habitat does not give away homes. In addition to a down payment and monthly mortgage payments, homeowners are required to put in 375 hours (325 hours for a single-parent family) in sweat equity toward the building of their own home. We charge little to no interest on our loans, and the payments are based on 28 to 30 percent of the family’s gross income.
