Any employee who reports an activity by Habitat for Humanity of Dane County or its directors, officers, employees and/or volunteers that he/she considers to be illegal or dishonest to one or more parties specified in this policy shall not be subjected to adverse action or retaliation of any kind as a result of such reporting. Examples of illegal or dishonest activities include without limitation, violations of Habitat for Humanity of Dane County’s policies; violations of federal, state or local laws, ordinances, and regulations; fraudulent billing or accounting practices; or other fraudulent financial reporting.
If any employee has knowledge of, or a reasonable basis to suspect illegal or dishonest activities, the employee should contact Habitat for Humanity of Dane County CEO Valerie Johnson Renk and/or Chairperson of the Personnel Committee – Jennifer Knudson.
