– Construction Volunteer Opportunities
As a construction volunteer, you will work under the guidance of our professional construction site supervisors. No experience is necessary, and you can work on a wide range of projects including carpentry, drywall, siding, interior trim, painting, and so much more. Every home built, renovated, or repaired by Habitat is a partnership between hundreds of volunteers, organizations, donors, and families. Join us at one of our build sites throughout Dane County!
– ReStore Volunteer Opportunities
Flexible volunteer positions are available every Tuesday through Saturday in a variety of roles to help keep the ReStores running smoothly. Available tasks include riding on the donations truck, cashiering, processing donations like hardware and cabinets, merchandising product on the sales floor or providing helpful customer service. We can find the perfect position that matches your skills and interests!

Sponsor a Team Volunteer Day
Support Habitat’s mission by sponsoring a group build day for your team or organization. Sponsored group build days are a great team-building experience that will leave your group with a shared sense of pride from the lasting impact that comes from building a home with your own hands. All skill levels are encouraged to join and each group is led by a professional construction site supervisor who will teach all you need to know to complete the tasks at hand.
Your build day helps cover building costs and pushes our construction closer to completion.
Building homes and completing home repair projects are a big investment, especially as the cost of land and construction materials continues to rise. Your donation helps us supply materials, training and supervision. We are especially appreciative of organizations that can help defray the high costs of land and building materials, through a donation paired with a volunteer day. Thank you!

Volunteer at Habitat ReStore
Schedule a day to volunteer with your coworkers, organizational members, or friends. We can host groups of four to eight volunteers at our East and West side locations. Tasks may include prepping (cleaning, pricing assembling) items for the store floor, organizing the sales floor or processing areas, loading/unloading donations, sorting hardware, and more!
