Construction Site Supervisor
Site supervisors are responsible for directing and supervising all on-site construction and remodeling activities. This position holds a key role in actualizing our mission to bring people together to build homes, communities and hope and provide safe, decent and affordable housing.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Plan and prepare for productive build days, ensuring that all tools, materials, and equipment, and are on site as needed and returned in a timely fashion.
- Ensure volunteers are participating and learning; move them on to other tasks as tasks are completed and ensure that construction safety program is communicated and enforced.
- Communicate with vendors and sub-contractors to coordinate work and meet scheduling milestones.
REQUIREMENTS
Qualified candidates should demonstrate excellent organizational skills and possess a strong attention to detail. Must be able to communicate effectively and deal tactfully with all kinds of individuals, yet remain consistent in keeping a professional demeanor. Comfort speaking in front of small groups a plus. Familiarity with construction terms, broad knowledge of all phases of residential construction and the ability to read blueprints required. Must understand and abide by safety requirements when using equipment and tools, and must be able to determine the appropriate tools/equipment to use for the various construction tasks.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

EXPERIENCE
- Some construction knowledge preferred, particularly in residential carpentry and supervision.
EDUCATION
- High school diploma or equivalent is required.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES AND REGISTRATIONS
- Driver’s License and clean record required.
- Lead-Safe Renovator certification (favorable, but not required)

AmeriCorps Construction Crew Leader – 2021-22

This full-time AmeriCorps service position offers a great opportunity to make a real impact in the lives of others while building your own knowledge and skillset. AmeriCorps National members serve the community in direct service and capacity building activities.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist with all aspects of hands-on construction tasks including, but not limited to, demolition, site prep, framing, insulation, drywall, flooring, roofing, finish carpentry and landscaping.
- Projects may include new construction, rehabilitation, critical home repair and weatherization projects.
- Lead small groups of volunteers and facilitate safe and positive experiences for everyone working on site.
BENEFITS of AMERICORPS SERVICE
- Living allowance $16,300 for approximately 10 ½ months of service.

REQUIREMENTS

- Ability to work with a diverse group of people.
- Experience working with volunteers, teaching or group facilitation.

Retail & Donations Associate
This position is responsible for assisting in the day-to-day operations of the Habitat ReStore and maintaining a clean, safe and welcome store environment.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Serve as a primary point of customer contact
- Maintain communications with other ReStore areas
- Inspect and prepare items for sale
REQUIREMENTS
- Understand and appreciate the mission of Habitat and ReStore
- Proficiency with various technical programs including but not limited to MS Office (Word and excel), Outlook, Teams
- Above-average written and verbal communication skills
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Proven ability to work in a fast-paced team environment, including the ability to multi-task
- Must be detail-oriented and able to work independently
- Ability to communicate effectively with donors, volunteers and customers of diverse backgrounds or skill levels
- Occasional travel may be required
- Nights and weekend hours may be required in order to complete assigned tasks
- Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record are required
- Share our organizational values of working hard, valuing teamwork and being accountable, with professionalism and integrity
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to use computers daily in an interactive manner
- Ability to sit and stand for an extended period of time
- Ability to frequently and accurately communicate with employees, customers, and vendors in person, via the telephone or by email
