Habitat Financial Education
Throughout the year, Habitat offers financial education opportunities to prepare families for homeownership. These courses are designed to work hand-in-hand with families to improve their credit, budgeting and financial health to become homeowners by qualifying for Habitat’s homebuilding program or traditional financing outside of the Habitat program.
Habitat Homeowner Readiness
Join Habitat for Humanity of Dane County and the Dane County UW Extension for a FREE two-part series to learn more about purchasing a home and set you future up for success! The classes will focus on homebuyer education with topics including setting goals, budgeting, debt, credit, types of mortgages, and Habitat homeowner qualifications. This class will be held at the Dane County UW Extension, 5201 Fern Oak Drive, Madison WI 53718.
Please note this is not the same meeting/class as the Habitat Homeownership Informational Meeting. If you wish to apply for a home, you will still need to attend an informational meeting which will be held in December. Please visit habitatdane.org/apply-for-home for more information.
