Rosario's Home Dedication

2510 Equity Lane, Fitchburg

Six Dane County churches and a local company come together to a build Habitat home for a Fitchburg Family

Join us in welcoming Rosario and her son, Grant, to their Habitat home on Thursday, March 8 at 6:00 p.m. at 2510 Equity Lane in Fitchburg. The public is invited to tour the home, meet the family and enjoy refreshments.

Prior to breaking ground on the construction site, staff members from Erdman built the home frame in their parking lot. The frame was then moved over to its permanent location in Fitchburg.

Asbury United Methodist Church, Bethany United Methodist Church, The Church at Christ Memorial, Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, McFarland Lutheran Church and Peoples United Methodist Church then joined together to not only fundraise, but build on the construction site.

The soon-to-be Habitat homeowner, Rosario, was born in Honduras and feels truly blessed to be moving into a Habitat home. “It has always been my dream to be able to provide a space for my son to call his own. Now my dream is coming true. My son's father and I divorced when my son was very young, and it has been my highest priority since then to give my son a happy and healthy life,” Rosario said. “We strive to be decent, humble people. It is very important to us that we feel close to God. My son and I regularly attend a Christian church together.”
